Beginning in 1928 the building was Das Deutiche Haus (The German House) which served as a gathering place for German historical groups.

This beautiful building had fallen into disuse and a sad state of disrepair but the Church of Scientology Missouri’s planned renovations include the restoration of its best architectural features including an awe-inspiring 1200 seat auditorium.

The renovated building will serve to be a church and community center for St. Louis.

The Church of Scientology Missouri purchased the building in 2007. Since then the church’s volunteers have contributed to cleaning up the building and raising funds for renovations.

Rev. Chad Lane has spearheaded raising over 4 million dollars to date for the purchase and renovations of this forgotten building to turn it into a church and community center.

Continued support is needed from the community to raise the funds needed to complete the renovations of the building.
